EGI empowers rural women and girls with knowledge, skills and other resources to improve their sexual and reproductive health responsiveness as well as their capacity to stop gender based violence.

Embibo Gender Initiative (EGI) is a Ugandan Community Based Organization established in 2018 as a private, voluntary, non-political organization in Kamwenge, Uganda. It focuses exclusively on Women, youth and Girls with special attention to Gender Based Violence, Girls Child Education Support, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Socio-Economic Empowerment. Embibo Gender Initiative uses community based approaches as an integral part of a long-term strategy to strengthen the rural communities’ awareness and resilience on gender and sexual reproductive health.
