The National Christian Students Association (NCSA) is a legally registered association, in Uganda and Kenya that aims at enlightening and awakening youths to their inherent abilities through transformation by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The NCSA focuses on instilling Christian values, building and empowering the youth for transformation of their different communities.

Background:

The National Christian Students Association (NCSA) was founded in 2018 and registered as a company limited by guarantee with the aim of transforming the youth through the gospel of Christ. It was formed by a group of youth, most of whom were still at the university by then. These include; Simon Ssenyonga, Valentine Sheba Naisanga, Marvin Ocwa, Lynn Edinance Olepus, Doreen Wealthy, Sharon Kyomugisha, Charlotte Nyangoma and Victoria Sharon Babirye.

The idea of the NCSA was birthed mainly on the affiliation or belief in God of the founding members of the association because it was this belief that shaped their perceptions while they were at the university.

The founding members of the NCSA strongly believed that Godly values are important in transforming the lives of the youth. This explains why the NCSA mainly relies on changing the lives of young people through Godly values as these values are able to sustain the youth beyond what they have known as a result of their education, experiences or employment.

In light of the above, one of the challenges the NCSA hopes to address amongst the youth is the lack of a value base, in other words, most youth do not have a clear value system which is why the NCSA’s system is focused on advancing Godly values and putting focus on what brings the different youth together.

The NCSA seeks to impact all youth regardless of their religious affiliation by advancing Godly values such as; love, unity, excellence, only to mention but a few. We encourage all youth from different backgrounds, religions, culture and tribes to join the NCSA and participate in our activities that are geared towards empowering and transforming communities.
