The Collective Amka Congo derives from the Swahili word for Wake up Congo in English or Réveille-toi Congo in French. It brings together several citizen movements and civil society organizations that work on the fight against corruption, for professional ethics and the defense of social interests.
It originates from several challenges related to insecurity, which is at the root of massacres, killings and assassinations of compatriots; social problems such as lack of water, electricity and roads, insalubrity, employment and youth unemployment; bad governance, embezzlement and corruption that plague institutions.
